Vocapia Research announces that Vocapia and
LIMSI (CNRS) technologies have been
ranked first in the
Dutch
NBEST ASR benchmark tests (
PDF). The 2008 N-Best (Northern
and Southern Dutch Benchmark Evaluation of Speech recognition
Technology) project of the Dutch-Flemish Stevin program organized a
benchmark evaluation in large vocabulary speech recognition for the
Dutch language. The evaluation was conducted by TNO Human Factors
Soesterberg, the Netherlands in cooperation with Spex in Nijmegen. The
performance of speech transcription for two tasks, Broadcast News and
Conversational telephone speech, was assessed for both varieties of
Dutch.
